We’re in search of a Quality Engineering Lead based in Boise, ID. This individual will lead our efforts to ensure that our software and hardware products are developed and released at the highest level of quality standards. This person will design our test automation framework as well as coordinate our in-person test efforts.
We’re looking for this person to work with several teams and elevate QA practices and test automation using vast experience and knowledge in agile best practices and automation technologies. This position requires high technical skills and relevant experience in hardware and software QA automation practices.
Responsibilities include:

Uses established test methodologies for defect tracking, requirement gathering, planning, analyzing results, storing and executing automation and manual scripts.

Plans, designs, and builds a set-top box test lab with automated testing of devices and collection of results.

Evaluates test processes and procedures and makes recommendations for improvement.

Reads, understands and correctly interprets business, certification and technical requirements.

Develops plans, strategies and scripts to test these requirements.

Suggests changes to ensure accuracy of documented requirements.

Participates in reviews of technical documentation, such as user manuals and suggests improvements and tests incorporated procedures.

Participates in defining automation strategy and applying appropriate automation technologies to meet the short and long term goals of QA department. Responsible for developing and maintaining test automation frameworks, solutions and automated test scripts
The Evoca TV Quality Engineering Lead must have:

5-10 years of QA and Testing leadership role focusing on automation

Experience with Linux or Android TV embedded systems

Experience in building and releasing consumer video products (software or hardware)

Knowledge of Audio & Video Transports and Codecs (e. g., MPEG-2 TS, MP4, H. 264, AVC, HEVC, AC3, AAC)

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development
